Dancing Merengue Dog
While my training of Henry is ongoing....I am not going to attempt to emulate this amazing dance duo. The main reason, of course, is that I would not look nearly as cute in that dress and that Henry spends most of his dressed time nawing at his outfits. Both would be a definite down during our "Dancing With The Stars" gig. If you have not already seen it, click on photo to see this twosome!
We are working on our current obedience class. This is the "advanced" class. It is followed by a test possibly earning Henry the moniker "companion dog". Hum....you ask, "Isn't he already." I guess not. He has to to all the following stuff:

We are working on our current obedience class. This is the "advanced" class. It is followed by a test possibly earning Henry the moniker "companion dog". Hum....you ask, "Isn't he already." I guess not. He has to to all the following stuff:
- Sit politely for petting with a stranger (he is still an indiscriminate "hello" jump up pup)
- Sit politely when I am visiting with a stranger (hasn't happened yet....)
- Advanced loose leash walking and heeling (that is staying in heel position consistently...ha! Give him a smell or a scrap of paper or a sound - that is all it takes)
- Show only casual interest in other dog/s passing by when on loose leash (not even worthy of comment at this point)
- Maintaining sit and down for extended period with food, sound and movement distractions (suprise! we have this one down unless a dog walks by)
- No mouthing when a unknown person comes up to brush him (we're working on it)
OMG!!! This dancing dog reminds me of Ladybird of "King of the Hills"! The dog can dance better than Randy!
ReplyDeleteOMG2-Hunter could have done that. The way he twitches in his sleep, he might still be doing it.
