Henry is an old boy now.
He can tell time (breakfast at 6 a.m. dinner at 4 p.m. with pip reminders starting at 5:30 and 3:30).
He still sometimes announces the USPS, Amazon and UPS van door slide on the street, but his hearing is getting softer - so he is getting great about sleeping through most sounds.
His cataracts are giving his eyes a glossy glow - so charming - but he sometimes needs help going into darker spaces.
He no longer leaps up on the bed or couch — sometimes even his step stool is too high to make the leap. The up side is that it gives us more excuse to lift with a cuddle. He even knows to position himself facing the target furniture of easy lift. Such a smart pup.
Thank goodness Henry is going to live forever. He has developed into such a wonderful old guy.
