Harlow Jean

Two weeks ago Henry celebrated Harlow Jean's second birthday. Just last weekend Harlow and her human came to visit. Harlow and Henry are enthusiastic wrestling buddies.

Today the vet center at Washington State University gave sweet Harlow Jean just two weeks to live. Her local vet couldn't understand why her blood count was so terrible and sent her to the specialists to figure it out. The pathologist said there were no options. She'd just lose interest in food, become increasingly lethargic and then be gone.

You would never guess she is ill. Harlow is in love with food, wrestling, playing fetch, cuddling with her human. Things don't always go according to plan. Harlow and Henry are suppose to grow old together.

  1. There is never enough time with our four legged friends, but this is really the pits. One day at a time and make them all count.

  2. That is so sad. Sometimes life is just unfair. We know Harlow will be missed.

  4. That is so sad! I wonder if this is a form of dog Leukemia?

  5. Harlow's mama is making every day special for whatever time they have. She does that anyway. But even more treats and snuggles. It does sound like leukemia, but when they said treatment was not possible, she just wanted to get out of there and start their four hour drive home to someplace cozy.
